Over dinner, Sandeep Menon (Head of Internal Systems, Stripe) will share an off the record perspective on the strategic choices behind a company's financial systems. He built Uber's financial products team (accounting, forecasting, payments and tax) from the first hire, reporting to the CFO. He went on to lead financial engineering at Netflix, and now runs internal systems at Stripe, a $159B company that processed $1.9 trillion in payments in 2025. He'll cover what Stripe has learned from experimenting with AI in finance and where determinism rules it out, why building the data foundation matters more than the models you license, and how to structure ownership of the stack as finance systems become an engineering discipline.
