A Philosophy for Going Live Between Two Closes.
For decades, a broken promise has been at the heart of financial software.
It starts with a powerful vision: a world of seamless closes, instant insights, and strategic clarity. Then, reality hits. The technology that promised to save you from complexity first imposes it. You’re quoted a three-month implementation. Your team, already stretched thin by the close, is now tasked with a grueling onboarding project.
The value you were promised is deferred, locked behind procurement queues, IT dependencies, and endless scoping calls. By the time the system is live, the initial vision is a distant memory. Momentum is gone. Skepticism has set in.
This is the "Value Gap"—the painful space between a vendor's promise and your reality. The deep insight that drove us to build Stacks is this: You cannot claim to solve a team's workflow problems if your process becomes one of them.
The implementation isn't a prelude to the product; it is the product. It’s the first and most important test of a vendor’s respect for your time, your rhythm, and your intelligence.
That’s why we designed our implementation to deliver value between two closes, not two quarters.
From Promise to Proof in Under 14 Days
We believe that proving our worth shouldn't be a three-month-long project. It should be an immediate experience. Our implementation is designed to be an extension of our product philosophy: powerful, intuitive, and respectful of your team’s true purpose.
We see the world in terms of your close cycle. Our goal is to introduce a profound improvement within that cycle, not disrupt it for the next two.
Week 1: We Do the Work, You Close the Books Time required from your team: 1–2 hours. Total.
This phase is about demonstrating our commitment from day one. While your team focuses on the high-stakes work of the month-end close, we handle the integration. We install Stacks into your ERP, configure the environment, and review your core files. There is no backlog. There is no IT ticket. There is only progress. We believe the heaviest lift should always be on us, not you.
Weeks 2–3: From Sandbox to Strategic Impact Time required from your team: ~2 hours per week.
This is not a generic training module; it's a collaborative configuration. We don’t force-fit a rigid system. We start with the workflow that carries the most urgency for you—be it the speed of your reconciliations, the integrity of your controls, or the clarity of your variance analysis. We onboard users into a live sandbox environment built with your data, so the experience is immediately relevant.
The system goes live on your terms, at your pace. The goal isn't to "complete the implementation." The goal is to deliver a tangible, measurable improvement to your team’s workday before the next close cycle even begins.
Momentum Is the Metric
Why this obsession with speed and seamlessness? Because the cost of a slow rollout isn't just measured in hours. It's measured in lost momentum and decaying trust.
A fast, frictionless implementation does more than save time. It closes the credibility gap. It converts skeptics into advocates. It allows your team to experience the product’s value when their motivation is highest, creating a virtuous cycle of adoption and expansion.
This philosophy extends beyond launch. You don’t go into a ticketing queue when you have a question. You ping us on a shared Slack channel. Your Customer Success manager and our product team are right there. We don't just solve problems; we maintain alignment. Your roadmap priorities are woven into ours.
Because powerful doesn’t have to mean complex, and full-featured doesn’t have to mean slow.
We’re not just here to make implementation quick; we’re here to restore faith in the idea that technology should be an accelerant, not an obstacle, from day one.
